Sofa Wrap

The old sofa had seen better days and if i shelled out for a new one, the monkeys will just end up killing it, and also i did'nt want to get too excited if there were any "accidents"...so i researched for designs for dust covers and undertook an audaciously ambitious DIY project....audacious cos i'm not the sewing kind and i had'nt stitched anything on the sewing machine till then! Everyone i told my plans to reupholster the sofa shook their heads in abject discouragement...soon it became a joke....so it was with great trepidation that i started this project ... stripped whatever i could offa it, then stitched the all the loose cushions to the main unit...arduous work cos there were 10 cushions..then stitched on some new fabric where it would show and stapled it in place below...and finally made a wrap of 2 different fabrics to fall over the sofas,

fastened all with blue and gold cord and finished off with cushions edged with cord
. Felt an high of greeaaat accomlishment.... my mom could'nt believe that i actually pulled it off..and neither cud everyone else who were all holding their breath to explode into laughter...
